Pistons get Kevin Huerter in trade with Bulls, Timberwolves

Chicago, Minnesota and Detroit have agreed to a multi-team deal that sends Jaden Ivey and Mike Conley to the Bulls and Kevin Huerter and Dario Saric to the Pistons, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday.

The Pistons also receives a 2026 first-round protected swap from Minnesota in the deal, sources told ESPN.

With the deal, the Bulls and Pistons fulfill desires with both young and veteran guards heading to Chicago and a sharpshooter going to Detroit. Minnesota, meanwhile, creates significant tax savings and roster space as they pursue other players prior to Thursday’s trade deadline at 3 p.m. ET.

Huerter, who is averaging 10.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists this season, provides a needed long-range shooter — 31.4% from 3-point range — for the Pistons (36-12), who lead the Eastern Conference by 5 1/2 games entering Tuesday’s games.

Ivey, who can become a restricted free agent after the season, is averaging 8.2 points and 1.6 assists this season in just 16.8 minutes per game after having arthroscopic knee surgery in October.
